Well now the FA market is starting to heat up and the tendered and arbitration picture should clear up soon. One of the topics that has been neglected is the situation we stand in today with all of our Free Agent eligible players. Having offered arbitration to all of these players’ means we are going to dominate next year’s draft. Though the harvest of first round picks we get next year will not bear fruit in the short term it certainly sets us up for an incredible farm system to make trades and develop new Longo Price type talents. 'with 9 Free Agents even declining arbitration we will receive numerous extra draft picks, and many of these are "type A" which means we get 1 first round and one sandwich pick for them. Now we need to hope Soriano and Crawford are picked by teams that finish near the bottom and we will get early first round picks. So the dark cloud has a silver lining!
